March 15, 2015 South Padre Island

Have seen lots of Skate caught of late. Sheepshead seem to be prolific if you can stand the weather changes. Be vigilant against rogue waves.

March 10 South Padre Island

Whiting on about every cast for 30 mins off the Jetty. Using Gulp Penny color 3 inch shrimp on 3/8ths jig head in chartreuse. Wondering if the Flounder catch was a fluke as I have not had any more since the one.

Lots of dophins in the bay and that seems to affect the fishing negatively. Still catching Sheepshead feeding tight against the shore. Fun to catch on light tackle. Live shrimp on a number 6 hook working best for me

Fighting the weather as its rainy a lot. Saw a nice black drum caught on frozen shrimp.
